Photograph of Deveron Bridge, Banff

The Deveron Completes its 50-odd mile journey to the Moray Firth at Banff Bay. The important fishing towns the other is Macduff grew up on either side of it. The river has its source in the North-Eastern corner of the Cairngorms and is one of four major water courses which flow into the Moray Firth (the Nairn, Findhorn and Spey are the others).

As it nears the coast, it offers superb photographic opportunities not to mention the potential for fishermen too and in its final half mile bends round the ancient estate of Duff House, where the magnificence of the mansion house (architecturally of French origin) attracts thousands of visitors annually.
